Molly Pitcher Connection
|
The Wilson Family of Philadelphia, PAThe Wilson Family of Philadelphia are descendents of Mary Ludwig Hays. Mary is better known as Molly Pitcher of Carlisle, PA. Molly Pitcher was a historical figure during the Battle of Monmouth, New Jersey during the Revolutionary War. Through the generations the story of Molly Pitcher has been told, however, few believed the stories. Our family has documentation and other family trees to verify its findings. My great grandfather was the son of Leon Leander Wilson and Mary Hays Wilson (great grandaughter of Molly Pitcher). As far as we can tell by the census reports, Leon Leander Wilson was born in Massachusetts and the son of Gardner Elliott Wilson and Arvilla Studley Wilson.
Howard Wilson Sr, grandson of Leon Leander Wilson, married Clara Haehl. Clara had three sisters, Dolores, Mary and Anna May. To visit their family pages and view some ancestral photos, visit the Haehl Family Line webpages. |
